Aranmore Aqua

The AquaGirls made it two wins in a row as they ran out winners by 10 goals to 5 against St Hilda’s on the weekend. The match was probably closer than the score would indicate but it was the superb tough defensive work from Lola Sabatier and Lily Petch that made it really hard for the opposition to score. Emily DeSouza was fantastic at GA or GS all game and the tireless work of the midcourt trio ensured great transition and stacks of opportunity into the circle all match. Thanks to Toby and Haley from Team Purple for lending a hand after they had played in their game as well. If we keep working hard at training then the results will keep coming on game day.
Dave.

Aranmore Purple

Team Purple faced a tough opposition this week, losing 11-2 to St Kieran Sharks. Despite our loss (the first in two seasons for most of our girls) all players showed determination and commitment in chasing loose balls and getting hands over in defence. With some more work on our clear leads we’ll be a formidable team!! Emma Rowse is our star of the week showing time and time again she is a valuable and tough player whatever position she is given.

Aranmore Silver

Team Silver had their first game on Saturday, losing 4-14 but showing some great promise for the season ahead. We had a great 2nd quarter keeping our opposition team goalless in that quarter! Well done girls. Our player of the week was Krishni Agawall who played an excellent defensive game, especially as it’s her first netball game! Keep it up Krishni.

Aranmore Green

A tough week for the green team against a very fast Subiaco team. Some great intercepts through the centre third, but unfortunately a stronger attack in Subiaco culminating in a 15 – 7 loss. The girls tried out some new positions and are raring to go next week.

Aranmore Red

WOW! What a start to the season. Team Red did an amazing job in their first netball game defeating City Beach 7-3. The excitement and enthusiasm shown by girls was contagious! Thanks to all our supporters, your encouragement was awesome. A big congratulations to our star of the week, Edie Burke, who was red hot in goals. Also a special mention to Clara North for completing her homework so beautifully. Great stuff girls!

Aranmore Navy Blue

First game for the girls was very exciting – All players put in great effort. Three goals to one on the final siren. Keep it up Navy Blues. Look forward to this week.
