COACHES REPORTS 20/21st July 2018

Dear Aranmore netballers – Welcome back to netball after the school holidays. I think you all managed to stay dry. There are only 4 more games for our year 3 and 4 teams and 5 more for our year 5 and 6 teams.

Team Green came back from two weeks off with renewed vitality and amazing skill! It was like watching the Fever in action!!! Unfortunately, we did go down to OLGC 7-4 but our team spirit remained intact.
The whole team played so well and you’ve made me very proud with how well you’re all playing and how you’re all improving each week. Keep up the GREAT work Team Green!
Coach Jess

So good to see everyone on court with their fighting team spirit. Our defense strategy is starting to shine through with Lexi and Maddie just on fire today – well done girls, I was impressed. Nina is a solid player, covering the court and picking up some great intercepts. Eden dug deep and found her place in attack – leading and chasing the ball with Liam who has found his passion in goals. Erika and Saige supported centre court, quick on feet they are really leading into spaces – well done girls. Rose come on court with enthusiasm and spirit, positioning herself well for goals. Well team Silver certainly put in the work today. I expect a few sore muscles over the weekend. Rest up and I’ll see you all again next week.
Coach Jodie

Aranmore GOLD played Rosalie on Friday night braving the rain and wind. The yr 4’s played very well, considering the 3 week break. With only 7 players available they all contributed to the 16 v 3 WIN!!! Special Mention to Alessia for her tenacity in WA. Great game Aranmore – you just continue to improve with every game.
Coach Lisa

Great game winning the game 9-2 against second placed Newman Opals. CIRCLE DEFENCE TEAM of Jack, Emmy Lexi and Bianca – amazing work defensively – again – you kept Newman goalless in the second half! CENTRE COURT team of Amalia, Bianca, Evie, Emmy, Tyler and Anabel – great work here – some amazing intercepts and great backing up by picking up those loose balls. GOAL SHOOTING team of Jack, Tyler, Amalia and Anabel – good effort tonight – I really liked the passing of the ball between you all and the solid rebounds.
Coach Jen

Aranmore Navy Blue played West Balcatta on Friday night. The girls were very excited to be back on the court after the holiday break. Played so well but unfortunately were beaten by West Balcatta 10/4. Special mention to Olivia Kowal for getting up after a hard fall and Imogen Perry for shooting skills. All the girls tried their absolute hardest like they do every week and enjoyed themselves.
Coach Kylie

Aranmore vs Swanny seahorses! It was so good to see our umpire Charlize back after her ankle injury! It was a great game with heaps of intercepts and rebounds! Unfortunately we lost by 9 goals. Special mention to Rosie and Lucinda for their spectacular efforts!
