Garden News

A most sincere Thank you to all the parents, teachers and children that attended the busy bee in the school vegetable garden last weekend.

We were able to achieve everything on the ‘To do’ list.

Garden beds are weeded and prepared, raised garden beds were assembled and filled with soil, everything was mulched and placed in the compost baskets and general weeding and tidying of the garden area was completed. It looks amazing.

The Pre-Primary Green children were excited to visit the garden to plant some strawberries. A big thank you to the Verheyen family for donating the strawberry plants.

Year Four Red planted potatoes and are looking forward to cooking potato wedges later in the year.

I am in need of a parent/parents to assist with general maintenance, for approximately 2 hours per week, in the garden. If you are able to help out and would like to be placed on the roster, please contact me via the office. Please specify a day of the week that suits you.
