COACHES REPORTS 4/5 August

We definitely were blessed with better weather for our games this week! But for Aranmore year Gold (year 3) they must of relished in last week’s conditions with a draw as they came out this week with a win, despite having some girls away with sickness – they clearly banded together and had great game – WELL DONE TEAM!

ARANMORE TEAM GOLD

Aranmore Team Gold had a fantastic win on Friday, defeating John XXIII Primary 7 8-5. Well done to the whole team for playing the whole game with no subs but special mention to Alessia Infirri who played an awesome game at C.

ARANMORE TEAM SILVER

A great close game against Floreat Park Primary this week!! Lots of great intercepts and goal scoring both ways to see us finish up with a deserving 8 all draw. Congratulations to the entire team this week. You all gave 100% and are starting to look like real netballers!! Don’t forget to keep thinking about getting into space for those passes and getting hands up in defence. Let’s hope we can finish up the season with a good game on the 11th August.
Coach Paula

ARANMORE TEAM RED

ARANMORE TEAM NAVY BLUE

The navy blue team played awesome Friday against the Newman Lions. We had 3 girls out unwell so Edie from the other year 4 team came to our rescue. We ended up playing really well and won 17 goals to 1. My girls have improved so much and loving the game. I’m so happy for them.

ARANMORE ORANGE

The Aranmore Orange Team fought solidly tonight to come away with a WIN again North Perth. The girls teamwork was great with some really promising combinations in attack – Mischa, Hannah, Mia and Eva Infirri. Ball work into and around the circle was really great to watch. In defence, Eva Papantoniou and Robyn were great and kept North Perth scoreless in Q2. Mila and Amia combined well in the Centre to produce some great pressure and turnovers. The girls have continued to improve week after week and are a real pleasure to watch. Well done to all 8 girls for a real TEAM effort.
Coach Lisa

ARANMORE PURPLE

The Purple Girls just fell short in their efforts to overall OLGC on Saturday, managing to draw level in the last quarter but to go down 12-14 in the end. It was another slow start but every single one of the girls worked hard for every minute they were on court. While the passing let them down sometimes, the effort was outstanding as they all worked hard for each other. Sara Robertson continued her late season revival while Emma Rowse once again ran non-stop all day and Isla Buttigieg provided a great focus up forward. We have three tough games left for the year and the aim to keep getting better with each one.
Coach Dave

ARANMORE AQUA

This week the Aqua girls were up against a talented Mt Lawley team. We came out of the blocks fast, working the ball efficiently from centre to our goal shooters which gave us a handy lead at the first break. Mt Lawley responded quickly and fought back to shoot six unanswered goals in the second quarter. Despite all our defences working well together we were kept quiet in the third quarter. The final quarter saw the girls dig deep to match the opposition’s intensity and the end result was a fantastic 25-15 win to Aranmore. Congratulations on a very strong win Team Aqua!
