COACHES REPORTS 11/12 August

Congratulations to all our teams but in particular to Team Silver, Gold, Red and Navy Blue have played their last game for the season. Look forward to seeing you all back next year! Best of luck for the last two games for Team Orange, Purple and Aqua!

ARANMORE TEAM GOLD

Well done to all of Team Gold on your last game – you have all improved so much. Good luck to those that are playing Spring netball. Keep practising and we will see you back next season!
Coach Ang

ARANMORE TEAM SILVER

What a wonderful way to end the season, Team Silver!!! A hard, close but friendly game resulting in a 1 point victory over Kyilla Primary. Tyler ran with intensity and purpose in centre court and attack, Bianca, consistent as always gave her all in centre court and scored many of our goals in the circle, Jack was a pillar of strength in defence and also came through in the attack end with some sweet goals, Neve kept popping out of nowhere to take some sneaky intercepts, Amber’s patience paid off to see her score a much-needed goal, Eden made some fantastic space in attack and never gave up, Alyssa stayed calm in the circle to get many a rebound and score some goals, Mattea got her hands over everything and made the passes hard for the opposition and Evie shadowed her player in defence like a secret agent!! I am so proud of how far you’ve all come and the sportsmanship you’ve shown. You are real little netballers now and I hope you keep playing for many years to come. See you at the break-up on the 1st.
Coach Paula

ARANMORE TEAM RED

Year 4 Reds finished off a very successful season on the weekend as they were undefeated throughout all games! Congratulations to the girls and a huge thank you to parents who have been super supportive throughout the whole season. Go Aranmore!!
Coach Jorje

ARANMORE TEAM NAVY BLUE

Navy blues played Coolbinia Primary School Friday afternoon. It was a very close match 7-5 we were defeated – the girls were up and down the court non- stop. Great game to watch. Congratulations on a terrific season girls – you just keep laughing and smiling every single week. Such a pleasure to coach.
Coach Kylie

ARANMORE ORANGE

With an interrupted two weeks of little or no training the girls struggled against a solid MLC Team. With illness also this week the girls only had 7 players – all of whom had to step up and play a whole game. Well done to both Mila and Amia who had good games, despite the conditions. Well done to all the girls who rallied in the second half and managed to equal MLC’s score for the second half, but weren’t strong enough to beat them. Good luck for the final two weeks girls!
Coach Lisa

ARANMORE PURPLE

The Purple Girls jumped out of the blocks with a blistering first quarter and were able to maintain the advantage through to the final whistle and record a 16-7 win over Mount Lawley on Saturday. We managed to avoid the rain and although it was pretty windy, the dry conditions allowed the girls to showcase their improved passing skills that we’ve been working on. Bethany Clarke was terrific in defence and well supported by Sienna McCagh and Olivia D’Souza while Isla Buttigieg again was a great focus at Goal Shooter. We have two tough games ahead to finish the season so we’ll be working hard at training to continue the improvement.
Coach Dave

ARANMORE AQUA

What a super- fast game for Team Aqua – full of intensity from start to end. Kapinara had some strong mid court play, but Aranmore worked hard with their defences to get from a two point loss at half time to drive the ball to our shooters to come out with a 5 point win. Great work by all the girls up and down the court this week – a fantastic game to watch.
