The Year Four to Year Six Extension groups at Aranmore Catholic Primary School were fortunate to be offered an opportunity by the Hawaiian Group to visit to the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research on Wednesday, 22 March 2017.

The whole school community at Aranmore Catholic Primary School really gets into the swing of things with the start of the school year.

The students at Aranmore Catholic Primary School are clearly committed to developing their passion and learning about art and its different media. At their recently whole-school art exhibition, or Gallery on Brentham as it is known known, the school hall was transformed into an art gallery for the whole school community to enjoy and several students were recognised for their outstanding efforts.

The Aranmore Catholic Primary School community has again shown their support in a big way for the Hawaiian Giving Box Appeal this Christmas. When you are driving around our neighbouring suburbs or catching the bus next, keep an eye out for Mia, Erika, Sam and Reuben.

They are Aranmore’s ‘poster kids’ helping encourage more families to join in the spirit and life that Aranmore Catholic Primary School offers.

What a fantastic day it was to see our students in their faction shirts and hats as they energetically took part in our 2016 Faction Athletics Carnival. A great day was had by all.

The upcoming season of the West Australian Ballet’s Nutcracker is even more special this year as Aranmore Catholic Primary student Chloe Brink has been selected to perform with them.

Friday lunch time chess club, for years 3 to 6, has been underway for 3 terms now with our ‘regulars’ attending weekly to battle it out against each other. It has been wonderful to see the weekly commitment by students. Term Four will see us decide on one Grand Master champion.

There is clearly a lot of respect for Aranmore Catholic Primary’s Principal Mrs Margaret Williamson. So much so that many of the 500 children at Aranmore want the chance to be her…well for at least one day. The Year Six students were invited to attend the BASF Lab at Curtin University on Wednesday 1st September. They participated in hands-on experiences conducting safe, colourful chemistry experiments, under the supervision of a team of scientists.
