Aranmore Netball Club

Good luck to the year 3/4 girls for their last game this week. I hope you have had a really fun season, and I just want to say thank you to all of you for being fabulous ambassadors for our school. Your sportsmanship, spirit and friendliness on the court has been wonderful to see.

Also a big thanks to Mrs B from 3G who came to watch the year 3’s this week. We loved having you along !!!!

Aranmore Silver (Yr 3/4)

In wonderful winter weather Team Silver fought hard in a close game only to lose by 1 goal. The girls worked hard in all quarters and produced some great passages of play using quick passes to get the ball moving. I especially loved to hear the positive support and encouragement the parents were giving the girls – thanks parents! Congratulations to our star of the week, Jaime, who was hungry for the ball! She was consistently able to provide good, clear leads and dispose of the ball effectively. Awesome work girls!

Aranmore Purple (Yr 3/4)

I think all of the seven girls that played on Saturday despite cough, colds and the freezing wind and rain deserve bravery awards. Everyone played a full game, worked incredibly hard despite the conditions and were well rewarded with an 8-0 win against a tough Karrinyup team. It was pretty slippery but everyone still ran hard all match long and made sure their passes were the best they could be. Well done to Katie Scherini who was our Star of Week 8 for her tireless running and work on both defence and attack in every position she played that day. Let’s keep up the great work Team Purple.

Aranmore Aqua (Yr 5)

The girls outplayed St Mary’s but their goal shooting wasn’t their best. Jad was great playing her best game for the year in defence and centre. She was awarded the $5 canteen voucher for a fantastic effort.

Aranmore Gold (Yr 5/6)

Fantastic team effort this week by all. The conditions were very challenging but the girls played well together to take the win.
