Technologies

The Western Australian Curriculum, Technologies learning area is split into two distinct but related subjects:

• Design and Technologies, in which students use design thinking and technologies to generate and produce solutions for authentic needs and opportunities
• Digital Technologies, in which students use computational thinking and information systems to define, design and implement solutions

The Technologies learning area is best taught when integrated with other classroom subjects through the development of integrated teaching programs that focus on both the content knowledge and the development of skills concepts & skills. Aranmore Catholic Primary School provides students with access to a range of digital devices, some of which include iPads, Chromebooks and Desktop computers.
