Performing Arts Rainbow Fish Performance

Congratulations to all the Year 6 students for their fantastic performance of The Rainbow Fish at the Convention Centre last Thursday night. The final comment on the adjudicator’s report was, ‘Thoroughly entertaining performance that was well-rehearsed and performed. Well done. P.S. Love the Jellyfish.’ All the hard work over the last few weeks to perfect the choreography and finish the costumes was worth it. Thank you to all the parents and staff who assisted with sewing, painting and creating the costumes, they looked amazing on the stage and the children loved them. The make-up was another highlight of the experience and it was provided by professional make-up artist Natasha Davison and she was assisted by Amanda Houghton. Both ladies worked tirelessly from 10.15am to prepare the children for the school performance and then touched up the make-up again at the theatre in the evening. Thanks also to Mrs Foster, Mr Sharpe and Mr Tsang for you assistance with many areas of the production. The children have had an opportunity to watch their performance and reflect on the experience and Beimnet’s comment really sums up what many of them said, ‘The most rewarding parts were; we got to wear make-up, with really cool costumes, backstage passes, getting up there and getting the results back. This was an amazing experience.’

There was a professional photographer at the Convention Centre and the photos are available for purchase. Photos can be viewed at www.christophecanato.net/your-personal-gallery Password: DANCE2017.
