Faith Based Teaching

faith-basedOne of the core aims each Catholic school in Western Australia upholds, is educating the whole child.

Religious Education is central to the curriculum at Aranmore Catholic Primary School.

The curriculum content in Religious Education is mandated by the Bishops of Western Australia hence the children (PP-Yr6) have daily Religion lessons. These lessons are complemented by prayer, liturgical singing, class and whole school masses and liturgies of the word, to which the parents and friends are invited.

The Catholic children receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation (Year 3), First Holy Communion (Year 4) and Confirmation (Year 6). By the nature of their mission and mandate, Aranmore Catholic Primary School supports families and the parish in the preparation of children to receive the sacraments.

Pastoral Care means enhancing the dignity of each person within our school community whilst maximising learning and growth. The pastoral care of Aranmore Catholic Primary children is of paramount importance and is a shared responsibility between the school and the home.
