COACHES REPORTS 15th/16th June

Congratulations to Year 5 Team Navy Blue for their first win of the season.

YEAR 3/4 TEAM SILVER

Well Friday night was perfect weather for netball. Nina, Liam and Edie all had a try in goals- keeping us all on tender hooks when the ball came down into the goal circle , we’ll done for your efforts. Nieve was a superstar, playing a key role in both defence and attack. Lexi ran her legs clear off in goal defence! Maddie picked up some awesome defensive moves with a great intercept in goals during the third quarter. Rose cheered her team along offering support from the sidelines. Gee all this netball is such hard work! Team Silver firmly believe that oranges at every quarter is the new standard!
Coach Jodie

The Aranmore Navy Blue team had their first win this week against Dynamites Woodroffe.
Great game girls and a great way to welcome Jazayla Rhode to the team. You all showed
amazing team work and the game flowed nicely. The final score was 8-5. Keep it up girls you are showing great improvement.
Coach Kylie

YEAR 5 TEAM AQUA

Aranmore Aqua vs Storm: we had a devastating loss by 19 goals which the girls handled very well.
We still had some great intercepts by Edie, Lucinda and Clara. The girls are still progressing as a playing group and are still having fun!
Good work girls, Go Aranmore!
Coach Holly

YEAR 6 TEAM ORANGE

A great tough game again this week against Floreat Force. We got off to a flying start in the first quarter with our goalies Kasey & Lenni combining really well to score 9 goals against Floreat’s 1. Their low score also due to some great defence from Sienna & Eva I. I saw some fantastic flow in this quarter with players making assertive leads and passers letting the ball go quickly and out in front. Mia never stops running and is a major factor in keeping the ball moving down the court with her passing and reoffering. We almost looked professional!!

Quarter 2 gave us a wake up call going down 5 to 1. Floreat really picked up the defensive pressure which slowed our momentum and made it hard to get our passes off. Joey showed some great use of space, making some impressive leads.

The third and fourth quarters were extremely close. 3-4 to them in the third and 4-3 to us in the fourth!! Eva P showed us her smarts in defence blocking out to own the rebounds. Bethany worked really hard in GD and scored a number of vital intercepts. Amia was on a half game this week but made sure her presence was felt in the centre court, especially in the 4th quarter where she stuck to her player like Velcro in defence. Mischa proved solid yet again in her goal scoring when it counted.
Great win 18-12
Coach Paula
